Snoop Blog on Speaking: Words to Savor, Rhyming Flavor.
Got Voice?
There comes a time when you’ve got no choice to make noise.
And that’s why it’s good to find your own voice.
You’ve got to find your own speech, make your voice your dominion, learn to state your case and give your opinions.
You’ve got to find the words that pave the way to say what you mean and mean what you say.
You’ve got to build your vocabulary and handle it with care. For some words that work here won’t work over there.
But words are power, every day, every hour.
And they last and last, so don’t let another moment pass.
Find your voice, find it today.
And let other’s voices lead the way.
Read what folks say about movies, TV shows, songs, food, cars, books, clothes and drinks.
And after you’ve read them ask yourself, “What do I think?”
Note the words they use and the points they’ve made.
Are they trying to bother? Are they trying to persuade?
How would you say it differently? What words would you like to use when it’s your turn to step up to the mic?
Finding your voice is about speaking up. It’s about saying, “That’s too much.” It’s about saying, “That’s enough.” It’s about making sure your words work for you.
So, find your own voice, raise your hand and speak.
There are eight billion voices on this planet. Yours, too, is unique.
